The European Commission has handed over the keys of 79 cars to the Palestinian Civil Police as part of an EU grant of equipment worth a total of 5 million euros.
The 31 VW Passat and 48 VW Jetta cars were handed over in Ramallah, and will be assigned police stations throughout the West Bank. They are the second consignment of vehicles delivered under the grant, which covers three types of police vehicles and a radio communications tower.
